12-year-old chasing his kite, beaten, sexually assaulted by 3 men: Delhi police
New Delhi: A 12-year-old boy who entered an unknown building while chasing his kite was allegedly sexually assaulted and brutally thrashed with a rod by three men who lived there, police said.
The boy had entered the house after his kite snapped and landed on the roof. When he tried to get the kite back, the accused allegedly caught him, and inflicted injury on him with a heated knife, police said.
The mother alleged the boy was sexually assaulted by the accused for several hours before they freed him with a warning to not to report the matter to the police. The mother said the men also tried to injure the child on his private parts.
The police have arrested the three accused and a case of abduction and assault of minor under the POCSO act has been registered, a senior police officer said.
The boy was taken to LBS hospital where a medical examination was also conducted on him, police said. The family of the boy joined by locals also staged a demonstration on the Vikas Marg demanding strict punishment for the accused.
