His wife received a call from the kidnappers, through her husband's phone, and they demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore.
Hyderabad: A 35-year-old doctor hailing from Jogulamba Gadwal district was kidnapped by a cab driver in Delhi on Thursday. Akkala Srikanth Goud who is in Delhi to take coaching for entrance tests is working in Metro Cancer Hospital.
His family said Dr Goud had dinner with four of his colleagues. They booked a cab; three of his colleagues got down and Srikanth continued the journey to his flat located 15 km away in Preethi Vihar.
When he did not show up the next day, his colleagues approached the cab owner and found that Srikanth was kidnapped by the driver, who was demanding Rs 5 crore ransom for his release.
