Thrissur: The murder of CPM worker Kannippoyil Babu was committed by his own party members and a detailed inquiry needs to be done in the case, BJP state general secretary A.N. Radhakrishnan has said. Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Mr Radhakrishnan said that the police need to inquiry why the murdered Babu was out at night at the time he was attacked.
“As CPM has alleged that RSS workers are behind the murder, we don’t have any issues in conducting an inquiry against RSS-BJP workers as well. In Kannur, there is frequent violence after the LDF came to power. CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan, party’s state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan were accused in murder cases and that is reflecting on the course of events when get positions of power,” he added. BJP is also planning to conduct an indefinite fast demanding CBI inquiry into the death of Sreejith in Varapuzha after he was brutally beaten up by the cops who arrested him by mistake, he said.
