Bengaluru: Youth kidnapped in Peenya

However, the reason for abduction is not clear as, according to Gowda, the kidnappers haven't demanded anything.

Bengaluru: A gang of four allegedly kidnapped a youth when he was returning from an ATM in Peenya police station limits on Friday night.The victim has been identified as Maruthi (21), a resident of Peenya who was working as a machine operator in a private factory. According to police, the incident happened around 9 pm, when Maruthi had gone to an ATM to withdraw money. While he was returning, four people kidnapped him.

The incident came to light when Maruthi called his uncle B L Gowda over the phone and informed about the abduction, who later approached police and lodged a complaint. However, the reason for abduction is not clear as, according to Gowda, the kidnappers haven't demanded anything. “Maruthi had called me to inform about the incident. He said they haven't demanded anything from him,” Gowda stated in his complaint. Peenya police have registered a case and teams have been formed to nab the accused.
