HYDERABAD: The police on Thursday arrested six persons who were allegedly involved in the murder of a history sheeter Esa reported at Falaknuma early this month.
The accused were identified as Ghulam Naveed Khan, Ghulam Javeed Khan, Lateef, Ghulam Sajeed Khan, Ghulam Wajeed Khan and Syed Azizuddin. One accused Hyder Khan is absconding.
According to DCP (south) V. Satyanarayana, the murder took place owing to “sexual jealously”.
The deceased Esa had married “former wife” of Waheed Khan after she had reportedly taken divorce from him in last week of February.
After marriage, Esa had sent an audio message through WhatsApp to Waheed who stays in Dubai informing about the marriage.
“Angry Waheed informed about it to his family members who confronted Esa over the issue. As the issue could not settle in the first meeting, they asked Esa to come to a pan shop in Bibi Ka Chasma where Naveed took out a knife and stabbed Esa to death,” said the DCP.
