Bengaluru: Rowdy hacked in daylight
Bengaluru: A 24-year-old rowdy was hacked to death by a gang of five in broad daylight in Kamalanagar on Wednesday.
The victim, Sunil, a rowdysheeter at the Basaveshwaranagar police station, was pulled out of his house by the gang and was hacked to death in front of his parents, even as the frightened neighbours watched in horror.
The gang was allegedly led by another rowdy Spot Naga. Around 8.30 am, the gang barged into Sunil’s house, pulled him out and hacked at him with deadly weapons.
Sunil’s parents kept pleading with the attackers to save their son, but the assailants did not stop till they were convinced that the victim was dead. One of the bystanders has recorded the entire episode on his mobile phone and this will work as crucial evidence for the police to nab the culprits.
During the attack, the gang also injured Uma, Sunil’s mother, when she rushed to rescue her son. She has been admitted to a hospital. Sunil had two cases of attempt to murder and had recently come out of jail on bail.
Sources said that it was a revenge attack as Sunil had twice earlier assaulted Spot Naga, who had escaped. Spot Naga, who also stays in Kamalanagar, had an ongoing dispute with Sunil over a property. It is also learnt that Sunil teased and ridiculed Naga, reminding him about the previous attacks.
