Honking leads to brawl between 2 groups, booked in Hyderabad

A case of attempt to murder' was registered on the both the groups.

Hyderabad: An argument over a motorist honking his car horn continuously led to a fight between two groups at Katedan on Wednesday midnight.

Both groups attacked each other, allegedly with iron rods and swords, leaving two persons severely injuried.

Both parties lodged complaints against each other at the Mailardevpally Police station and an ‘attempt to murder’ cases have been registered against both complainants.

According to the police, at around 11.30 pm on Wednesday, Mohd Feroz, 23, went to his in-law’s house at Moghul’s colony at Katedan.

Mohd Arshad, Mohd Mahmood, Baba Khan and a group of over 15 persons attacked Feroz, with iron rods and swords and injured him severely.

When his friend Syed Mukthar Sha and Syed Adnan Sha came to his rescue, the group attacked them too.

Based on a complaint from Feroz’s father, a case was registered against the suspects.

Next day, another complaint was lodged by a group of persons alleging that Feroz, Adnan Sha, Mukthar Sha, Adil Sha and Majid Sha, beat a group of youngsters. They lodged a complaint against them for creating a nuisance in the residential area by honking their car horns continuously.

Based on both complaints, two ‘attempt to murder’ cases were registered.
Inspector of Mailardevpally P. Jagadeeshwar said that the injured persons have been sent for medical examination.

“Based on facts and the evidence collected, the investigation will proceed and all those found responsible will be treated as per the law,” said the inspector.
