Two killed, 11 injured in NFC mishap near Kushaiguda
The inspector said a case was registered against the contractors V-Arcs Engineering.
Hyderabad: Two labourers died and 11 were injured on Monday when a concrete slab collapsed on them at the Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) near Kushaiguda. The incident took place when about 40 labourers were laying the slab.
Inspector N. Venkata Ramana told DC that the deceased were identified as Alwal Narasimha, 38, and Indla Bhadrak, 37.
Mr Ramana said “The slab was 40 feet wide and 25 feet high. As the concrete was being laid from one side, at around 4 pm, the slab supports got unbalanced and the slab collapsed on the labourers,” he said.
The victims died on the spot. 10 labourers and an NFC employee were shifted to Yashoda hospital. The inspector said a case was registered against the contractors V-Arcs Engineering.
