Namibian drug peddler held at Kempegowda International Airport
The officials are yet to question the accused on the origin and the destination of the seized drug substance.
Bengaluru: Officials of the Narcotics Control Bureau detained a 40-year-old Namibian, who had swallowed 20 capsules of cocaine trying to smuggle it in, at the Kempegowda International Airport. The accused, who had come from Brazil and landed at Kempegowda International Airport, was found with 20 grams of cocaine in his possession.
“As he said he was feeling uneasy, he was rushed to Bowring Hospital. It was found that he had swallowed 20 capsules of cocaine and it was taken out under medical supervision. The capsules have been seized,” an official said. The officials are yet to question the accused on the origin and the destination of the seized drug substance.
