Tirupati: Man kills wife for uploading TikTok videos
TIRUPATI: In a shocking incident, a man killed his wife at Thaluru in Kanigiri mandal of Prakasam district for repeatedly posting videos on TikTok despite his warnings against it.
According to sources, Fathima, who was in her late 30s, was married to one Pacchu, a tailor. The couple was living at a rented house in Thaluru. Fathima reportedly became an addict of TikTok and began uploading numerous videos.
Pacchu, who came across the videos, warned her against it several times but Fathima continued her uploads on TikTok, a police official said after beginning investigations.
The couple ended up arguing over the issue several times. As the issue went on, Pacchu also started doubting her fidelity.
On Thursday, he allegedly killed Fathima at their residence by hitting her head repeatedly with a wooden chapati roller. He later tried to make it appear as if Fathima had hanged herself with a rope.
On persistent interrogation by police, he confessed to killing his wife. Pacchu has since been arrested and remanded to custody, the police official said.
