Hyderabad: A reserve police inspector was killed in a road accident at Uppal on Tuesday morning. The inspector, M Suresh Babu, 37, was riding a motorcycle when the accident took place. “He was going to Ibrahimpatnam from his residence at around 5 am to report to work when a truck hit him while waiting at a traffic signal. He suffered a head injury and died on the spot,” the police said, adding that Kumar was wearing a helmet.
A police team rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the Gandhi Hospital. The truck driver, Dinesh, a native of Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. The deceased was staying at the Yusufguda police quarters with his wife and two children.
