Hyderabad: The police raided three more fake manpower consultancies in the city and arrested three agents for running establishments illegally. The suspects had also taken money from several youths promising them jobs in GCC countries and had cheated them. Hundreds of documents were also recovered by the police.
The commissioner’s task force teams simultaneously raided Air Zone Tours and Travels in Chandrayangutta, Shine Advertising Agency in Santhoshnagar, and ‘Al’ Ain Groups Consultancy Agency in Kacheguda following a tip off.
Police said the arrested suspects Md Omer, Md Hameeduddin and Md Imad Siddiqui had been running their firms for years without permission from the Protector General of Emigration.
“They had been cheating unemployed youths by posing as licenced agents and collecting Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 from each candidate. They promised to provide jobs of plumbers, mechanics, cook, helpers and labourers in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and other West Asian countries. They used to conduct interviews and collect the victims’ passports and academic certificates to convince victims that their applications were being processed. However, they never deliver the visa,” said N. Koti Reddy, additional DCP, commissioner's task force.
