Kurnool: Nandyal police have formed special teams to crack down on cricket betting during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Comprehensive checks and surveillance are in place, and cases will be filed against violators under the AP Gambling Act.
District superintendent of police Raghuveer Reddy warned that those attempting to deceive innocent people through cricket betting, particularly targeting youth with the promise of substantial earnings, will face severe consequences.
He urged the public to report any instances of cricket betting in the district by calling 100. The identity of informants will be kept confidential.
