Hyderabad: In the first week of August cops imprisoned three drunk drivers for 20 days and six offenders for 10 days for drunken driving. About, 557 charge sheets were filed against the drunken drivers. All the 557 offenders were produced in Court. 78 respondents were awarded imprisonment, besides imposing fines up to Rs 11, 93,700, Erramanzil, and Hyderabad and Metropolitan Magistrate Court has awarded imprisonment to the 78 respondents, apart from imposing fine up to Rs 11, 93,700. All the candidates sentenced for imprisonment are sent to Chanchalguda Jail.
The violators who have committed the offence will be sent for counseling at Traffic Training Insititue Goshamahal and Begumpet. The drive regarding the drunken drive is being continued to curb the Traffic Violations and also for the safety of commuters on road. According to Hyderabad Traffic police,the respondents who are caught and convicted in drunken drive, cases may likely to face difficulties in getting govt. jobs, passport and visa clearance.
