Telangana: Boy ends life over game

The deceased, Gandu Abhinai, jumped from the top of his house.

Hyderabad: Upset over his parents refusing to purchase him a new video game, an engineering student committed suicide in Abdullapurmet. The deceased, Gandu Abhinai, jumped from the top of his house. Police said Gandu Abhinai, 17, a resident of Kuntloor village in Abdullapurmet mandal, was studying BTech first year in MVSR Engineering College in Nadergul. He joined college on August 2.

Recently, they constructed a duplex house in their village. On Sunday he asked his parents to buy him a new video game. His father Srinivas, a farmer and mother Padma a housewife, told him to wait some time due to expenses incurred for constructing the house. But he argued with his parents, ran to the terrace and closed the door. His parents heard a loud noise and they found Abhinai in a pool of blood.

Police said Abhinai could have jumped from the top of the house. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead. Based on a complaint from his father, a suspicious death case was registered. The body was handed over after post-mortem.
