Hyderabad: A day after the body of an 11-year-old missing boy was found in Barkas, police managed to trace six boys who were victims of the teenager who sexually assaulted and killed the boy. Police found that all the kids were targeted while they were playing in the same ground in Barkas.
The teenager on Thursday, confessed to sexually assaulting the missing boy and killing him. He also admitted that he had sexually assaulted over 15 others.
Inquiries revealed that the teenager, who worked in a paan shop in Barkas, spent his free time at the Barkas playground where kids from the area come to play. He would identify the kids who came there regularly and target them. He would first start a conversation with the kid and then offer toffees and biscuits and take them to the terrace of the school building or some other isolated place and abuse them after which he would give them money and send them back. Police identified six kids. Three are students of the same school and three school dropouts. They were being counselled.
An investigating official said that none of the victims complained to their parents. But the missing boy threatened to complain to his parents. The teenager then killed him.
Police also identified Mohammed Ghalib, who along with Mohammed Tala had sexually assaulted the teen and are verifying the charges against them. Tala who has been involved in bodily offences in the past is absconding.
