Hyderabad: A man who raped a 24-year-old woman after drugging her was arrested by Miyapur police on Friday. Police said Zeeshan Moinuddin, 30, got the victim addicted to hookah and ganja and raped her several times. Moinuddin, a resident of Malakpet, and the complainant met through common friend Mujju two years ago. Police said the victim was unaware of the rape.
“Recently her parents detected her addiction and that she had been raped by Zeeshan,” ACP S. Ravi Kumar said, adding the victim is mentally unstable and is in hospital.
Based on her mother's complaint, a case of rape and under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was filed. Police found that Zeeshan bought ganja from a Dhoolpet peddler named Babloo. Zeeshan was remanded.
