Hyderabad: Teacher held for filming students

The arrested are two school correspondents, a lady teacher and the son of one of the correspondents.

Hyderabad: Balanagar police on Wednesday booked four people for circulating the video clip of a minor girl student in the city.

The arrested are two school correspondents, a lady teacher and the son of one of the correspondents. They have been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and harassment.

Officials said the woman teacher had recorded a video clip of the girl and the boy getting intimate a few days ago. She then showed it to their correspondent, who in turn shared it with journalist friends.

Officials said the victim is a student at Nisse Swati High School, Balanagar. A few days ago, she was allegedly spotted getting intimate with the school correnspondent Vijay Kumar’s 17-year-old son.

“A teacher at Saint High School, located opposite, recorded the duo on her phone and then took it her correspondent, Suresh. Both the schools had a rivalry going and taking advantage of this, Suresh shared the video clip with his friends in the press,” an official said.

The journalists then called Vijay Kumar of Nisse Swati High School and extorted Rs 30,000. The clip then reached the girl’s father and based on his complaint a case was registered against the accused under various acts.

Clerk suspended for viewing porn
The management of the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition at Vidyanagar filed a complaint with Amberpet police on Thursday, alleging that their clerk Ravindra Kumar, was watching pornographic websites on his official computer. The management also suspended Ravindra Kumar.

In his complaint principal Sanjay K. Thakur said that UDC clerk K. Ravindra Kumar was found watching porn videos while on duty. “Students made a video of him watching porn on his official computer,” the complaint said.

The issue came to the management’s attention and they set up a committee to submit a report. When asked for explanation Ravindra did not accept the charge despite the videos and contents of the hard disk.

“We have got a complaint. Based on court order we will register a case,” inspector K. Rammohan Reddy said. “During suspension he is not permitted to move out of headquarters and has to attend enquiry committee proceedings,” the suspension order said.
