Interstate gang poachers role in killing of black bucks
The interstate gang used weapons to kill a group of animals for the meat

ANANTAPUR: Interstate poachers gang involvement in the gunning down of more than 10 black bucks in Narayanapuram in Adoni mandal in Kurnool district were suspected. Though, forest department suspected the role of locals in killing the group of black bucks over troubling in their fields, the investigation revealed that the interstate gang used weapons to kill a group of animals for the meat.
The forest department found after information by the locals that a gang of poachers reached in a jeep to the spot in the early hours and bumped of bullets at the group of black bucks and killed at least 12 of them. Soon after they fell down, poachers beheaded all of them and cut the bodies to pieces. The gang dumped meat into the jeep and left the carcases including the heads on the spot. The gang fled from the spot soon after their target was completed from George Canal on out outskirts of the Narayanapuram village.
Farmers and farm labourers in the surrounding fields were shocked over the act of a poachers gang in broad daylight a day ago, the locals alerted the police and forest departments. The forest department investigating the case sent the available carcasses of black bucks for post mortem suspecting the role of interstate poachers.
During investigation, police and forest officials got information that poachers passed through the main road of the village after dumping the meat of the 12 black bucks.
The heads and other remains of animals were sent for post mortem to find out whether all the animals were gunned down or few of them were poisoned. The forest department was seriously working out on nabbing the interstate gang of poachers who dared to kill 12 black bucks at a single spot.
Adoni area has a spot for huge number of black bucks due to favourable climate along with plain lands.
