Hyderabad: Two people have been arrested by the LB Nagar police on charges of sexually exploiting a minor girl on the city outskirts, while two minors have been apprehended for the abduction of the victim.
According to the police, the girl, 16, a resident of Jaipuri Colony lost her father during childhood. She was helping her mother who sells flowers on the road near their house. A minor boy who was her neighbour became friends with her and was regularly talking to the girl in her mother’s absence.
A few days ago, when the girl was at the shop, her friend took her to an isolated place near Nagole. When they were talking the boy’s friend would also joined them.
Meanwhile, two persons, C. Sai, 25, and Srinath, 23, who are daily wage labourers saw the minor boys talking to her. As they scolded the boys, the girl’s friend ran away from the place.
Sai and Srinath then asked the other boy to bring her to an isolated place near Indu Aranya area in Hayathnagar. After reaching the said spot, the duo sexually exploited the girl. Seeing this, the minor boy also ran away. The girl reached home and informed her mother about the assault and they lodged a complaint with the police.
LB Nagar inspector V. Ashok Reddy said, “The accused took the girl into the bushes and raped her. They have been arrested under relevant Sections of IPC and PoCSO Act, and the two minor boys were apprehended for the abduction of the girl.”
