Visakhapatnam: A man Pola Erram Naidu has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Peddinti Eswaramma of Vijayarampuram village in Dattirajeru mandal in Vizianagaram district.
Police said Eswaramma had been married to Thentu Simhadri about 24 years ago. After two years, her husband died following an illness. Since then, she had been living with her mother and surviving on daily wages.
Eswaramma entered into a relationship with Erram Naidu of the same village. Naidu did not do any work and depended on Eswaramma.
This led to frequent fights and they separated last year. One day. Erram Naidu reached Eswaramma's home where they again entered into a fight. Erram Naidu severely beat up Eswaramma following which she died.
Eswaramma’s mother filed a complaint at Burjavalasa police station, which took up investigation and arrested Erram Naidu. He was put on trial for murder in Vizianagaram district court, which sentenced him to life imprisonment for Eswaramma's murder.
