Hyderabad: Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team conducted raids on nine massage centres in the limits of Panjagutta, SR Nagar, Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills Police stations and apprehended 27 persons who were running the centers illegally. Officials seized Rs 59,700 and 26 cell phones from their possession.
The arrested were identified as Joya Fatima Chowdary, 28, wife of Osman Chowdary, manager of Pamper Spa, and two others working there, M.Akshitha, 28 wife of Praveen, manager of V2 Spa, and six others working there, Mounika, 30, wife of Bala Krishna, organiser of Liana Beauty Saloon, B.Mahesh, 38 Organiser of Reva Spa & Beauty Care, Jyothi, 30, wife of Gopi, receptionist and manager of R.Y. Family Beauty Saloon & Spa, E. Nagarjuna, 29, manager of Shine Spa & Saloon, and five others working there, T .Narsimha Reddy, owner of Waverz Saloon & Spa, and two others working there, Pavan, 19, manager of Eden Thai Spa, and Sharmila Reddy, 47, organiser of Emerald Hair Studio.
“The persons were running their establishments illegally by providing cross massages to the customers with female workers without maintaining any guidelines like obtaining licence from the GHMC, not having professional therapists, no DVR of CCTV cameras and they did not have CCTV cameras in their massage rooms, no qualified doctors and physiotherapist in the SPA, not maintaining any customers entry register,” said DCP, Commissioner’s Task Force, P. Radhakrishna Rao.
