Hyderabad: A 13-year-old boy who was playing with his friends on the terrace of his building accidentally fell and died at Suraram on Thursday afternoon, the police said.
The police identified the boy as Sanala Tulasinatha Chary, who lived with his mother and maternal grandmother in the building, having migrated to the city from Khammam. A case of suspicious death was registered, the police said.
According to the police, one of the boy’s friends told them that they were playing hide and seek, during which Chary was blindfolded as he had to seek out the others. While he was searching for the others, he lost his balance and fell.
Residents and passersby, upon noticing the fall, rushed him to a nearby private hospital, where he was declared dead.
“A suspicious death case has been registered. Though prima facie findings indicate that he fell accidentally, all angles are being probed into,” said Suraram police station SHO M. Venkateshwar Rao.
Police Recover Stolen Gold Jewelry in Quick Action After Theft Report in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Borabanda police said they had quickly traced six tola of gold jewellery that a man had stolen from a mason, K. Anjaiah, who was coming to the city from Gooty in Andhra Pradesh.
Borabanda inspector K. Ravikumar said the police received a complaint from Anjaiah on September 6 that someone had cut open his bag and stolen the jewellery. Police checked CCTV footage and spotted a person who could have opened the bag boarding a bus to Rajendranagar.
Police traced the bus, stopped it at Attapur and searched it. They found the jewellery on the rear seat of the bus, Ravikumar said. The jewellery was handed over to Anjaiah at the police station.
Telangana to Host National Lok Adalat on September 9 Across All Court Levels
Hyderabad: The Telangana Legal Services Authority said it would be conducting the National Lok Adalat on September 9, from the High Court right down to the taluk level courts. TSLA member-secretary S. Goverdhan Reddy suggested that the litigants avail of the opportunity for settlement of all kinds of civil cases and compounded criminal cases. He said that the Lok Adalat was free and that the court fee would be refunded to the litigants if they had deposited the sum before the courts concerned in the pending cases.
