ANANTAPUR: Anantapur III-Town police on Friday arrested a man on charges of sexually molesting and harassing his three daughters.
The crime came to light on Friday after his wife approached the Child Helpline who rescued the three girls. The mother was also being harassed by her husband for the past few months when she tried to stop his inhuman acts. She finally approached the helpline to save her daughters.
Based on the statement of the victims, district child welfare committee chairperson Nallani Rajeswari sought action against the father. The victims were provided shelter at a home in Anantapur.
DSP Veera Raghava Reddy said that the man was arrested based on the complaint by the CWC and Child Helpline.
He was booked under the Pocso Act.
