Vikarabad: Boy goes missing from school
Hyderabad: A Class VII student went missing from a residential school and the school did not inform his parents even after 10 days. The family staged a protest outside the school in Pargi, Vikarabad. The boy, Madhu, was a Class VII student of Pargi Balura Residential School.
The hostel has a history of children going missing. "Last year, a student, Vamsi Krishna, went missing and an investigation was launched in vain," said Mr Krishna.
However, the principal, Venugopal, said they were under the impression that the boy had gone with his father. “On August 26, the boy's father, Swami, a labourer, came to meet him at the school and the boy went missing since then. The housekeeper assumed that his father might have taken him,” SI Krishna said.
Based on a complaint by Swami, Pargi police booked a missing case.
