Hyderabad: South Zone police arrested a gang of burglars four days after a theft at a house at Kalapathar in the city. The cops recovered cash and gold worth around Rs 6 lakh from the arrested men.
The three-member gang raided the house of one Mohd. Vazeer Qureshi, at Bilalnagar in on September 2. The arrested men are Shaik Abdul Hameed, 23, from Mumbai, Waqaruddin, 19, from Kalapathar and a minor aged 17.
Police said Qureshi and his family had gone to Shadnagar to attend the Valima function of his relative on September 1. They returned next morning and found the door lock of their house broken. The suspects broke the almirah and stole gold and Rs 2 lakh. They were produced in court on Tuesday.
