Visakhapatnam: Three minor boys held for death of 15-year-old
Visakhapatnam: The city police on Sunday took three minor boys into custody in relation to the death of a Class X student.
ACP (Dwaraka Zone) K. Ramachandra Rao said that Chinna had begun talking to a girl from Class VIII at his school around two weeks ago. This led to frequent arguments between Chinna and the accused, who is also a student of Class VIII. The accused would ask Chinna why he kept coming to their class and talking to the girl. Chinna reportedly lodged a false complaint against the accused with teachers of the school.
Enraged by his move, the accused, who was accompanied by his older cousin and a friend, decided to confront Chinna outside the school after school hours. Chinna was beaten by the trio. While Chinna was trying to escape from the spot, he fell down and hit his head on the road. He was admitted to a hospital on Saturday, where he breathed his last at around 11 pm on Saturday. The three boys have been taken into police custody and an investigation is underway.
The police said that the medical team at the hospital had said that the boy had suffered a cardiac arrest due to an existing ailment which was aggravated by the fight, and a brain haemorrhage from falling on the road. The three boys have been taken into police custody and an investigation is underway.
