Hyderabad: Cyberabad police arrested four persons who were involved in stealing CCTV cables in Bachupally. Police said the accused had stolen cables of CCTV cameras installed at various places across the city and had sold them.

The suspects are T. Yadagiri, 34, P. Nagaraju, 21, T. Venkatesh, 20, and E. Praveen Kumar, 21, of Hyderabad. Police said a CCTV supplying agency from Hyderabad approached the police stating that the cables for the cameras installed by them were stolen in Bachupally, Kukatpally and surroundings.

During the investigation footages from one of the cameras in the area gave leads to the police. Based on the leads, police kept a watch on those who purchase stolen cables.

On Saturday, when the suspects were trying to sell the stolen cables to a dealer the police teams nabbed them. Police found that one of the suspects, Yadagiri, is a CCTV technician and was well versed with its tech. They were arrested and remanded.
