Court turns down Shravil's bail plea in Ramya accident

The III Metropolitan Sessions Judge rejected the bail petition of Shravil for the second time.

Hyderabad: The III Metropolitan Sessions Judge rejected the bail petition of Shravil for the second time. Shravil was accused of causing the accident at Banjara Hills on July 1 while driving drunk, that claimed the lives P. Ramya, her uncle P. Rajesh and her grandfather Madhusudhana Chary. Ramya’s mother Radhika and another uncle Ramesh are still undergoing treatment and are bedridden. The court had earlier rejected his bail plea in July and extended his remand.

The accident occurred near the Panjagutta graveyard, while Shravil along with his five friends were returning after drinking at a pub in Banjara Hills. All of them were reportedly drunk, and Shravil who did not have a driving licence allegedly insisted that he drive. The car was registered in the name of the mother of his friend Vishnu.
