Mysuru: A 21-year-old software engineer, a trainee at Infosys in Mysuru, was found dead at her residence in Lakshmikanthnagar in Hebbal third stage here on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Meenakshi, a native of Kalaburagi, and was reportedly found hanging at her residence. Police said the body was in a decomposed state and the death might have occurred at least three days ago. Meenakshi had reportedly spoken to her mother on Saturday night and has not attended office for the last three days.
While the neighbours reported of foul smell from the house, her parents were informed and the door of the house was broken open on Thursday morning, after the arrival of her parents, police said.
A case has been registered in Hebbal Police station based on complaint filed by Meenakshi’s father. Police suspect it to be a case of suicide, however they are investigating all the angles.
The body has been handed over to the relatives after post-mortem at K.R. Hospital, police added.
