Hyderabad: DCP South Zone V. Satyanarayana said that 99 per cent of teenagers, during their free time talk about sexual activities. He said that supervision of parents on the behaviour of their kids and their friendships can play a major role in the activities of the children. “In the age group of 16 to 20 years, 99 per cent  kids think of sex and  related aspects. This is the most common topic of their discussion,” the DCP said, adding that due to these situations, they are provoked to pervert acts. Parents should try and keep track of the the company with whom their children are moving around and monitor their behavioural pattern.

In addition to this, the atmosphere at home should be safe and free from such thoughts. The DCP said, “In big families staying in small houses, couples assume their kids are asleep and take the liberty of the situation. But in most cases, the kids would be pretending to sleep, waiting for an opportunity to watch their parents.” Their unnatural behaviour begins from home leading to such grave incidents. The DCP said that awareness among children about the ill effects of such activities, parents’ supervision, role of police will bring a desired change.
