Hyderabad: As many as 1,373 people were booked for drunken driving by the Cyberabad traffic police. The drunken drive checks were conducted in Cyberabad city limits in the month of May, 2018. All the violators were produced before the Kukatpally, Medchal, and Rajendranagar courts.
Among all the violators 320 were convicted with imprisonments ranging from 1 to 13 days besides fine. The drunken driving was conducted in several areas like Kukatpally, Madhapur, Miyapur, Balanagar, Gachibowli, Alwal, Jeedimetla, Shamshabad and Rajendranagar.
Maximum drunken drivers were caught from Shamshabad-257, Kukatpally-194, Rajendra Nagar-180, Balanagar- 162, Alwal-144, Miyapur-142 and Madhapur-86. 773 cases have been disposed and 599 cases are pending and penalty of Rs 784500 have been imposed.
