Hyderabad: A techie cheated his divorced colleague in the name of love and also clicked her nude pictures while she was in a relationship with her. The suspect also duped her of Rs 7 lakh and started blackmailing her.
In another incident a housewife from Jeedimetla was harassed by her schoolmate, who had taken her nude pictures while in school and sent it to the victim's husband through Facebook.
Along with the above two, five others who were harassing women were arrested by Cyberabad SHE teams and counselled on Saturday
Last week Cyberabad SHE teams received 11 complaints from women and five cases were registered.
The SHE teams also conducted four awareness programmes which were attended by around 1,400 participants.
A divorced techie who is also the mother of a child developed friendship with her colleague who trapped her in the name of love. Later, he collected Rs 7 lakh from her and purchased a flat in Suncity in his name. They stayed together in the same flat during that he took her nude pictures and shot her naked videos.
When she came to know of this and questioned him he started blackmailing her and demanded more money. He also threatened to post the content on social media. Unable to bear the harassment she filed a complaint with SHE teams and a case was registered by the Cybercrime cell.
In the second incident, a housewife who got married just a month ago approached the police stating that her husband had been receiving her nude pictures. When she was in Class X she developed friendship with her classmate and he had collected the photographs.
After her marriage, he gained access to her Facebook account and using the same account sent her pictures to her husband through Facebook to blackmail the victim. Based on her complaint cyber crime police registered a complaint.
