Chennai: Unidentified gang loots 4 shops of Rs 40,000

Meanwhile, it is learnt that burglars had also entered a cloth showroom and fancy store adjacent to Siva's shops.

Chennai: Unknown persons have gone on a burgling spree in Vyasarpadi on Thursday night and stole Rs 40,000 from 4 shops. According to police, burglars had entered a photo frame shop of Siva (42) on Anna Salai in Sasthri Nagar, Vyasarpadi, and escaped with Rs 10,000 cash. “Siva noticed the broken locks and informed police on Friday morning,” the police said.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that burglars had also entered a cloth showroom and fancy store adjacent to Siva’s shops. But the burglars went empty-handed.

“However, they broke open a real estate office on 16th street belonging to Ramasamy and fled with Rs 30,000,” the police said. The MKB Nagar police have registered a case and are investigating.
