Telangana: SHE teams nab 2 men for rape
Hyderabad: Two people, a techie and a cloth merchant, were arrested in a joint operation by Cyberabad SHE teams and the KPHB police on Thursday. The duo allegedly lured two different women promising marriage and had sex with them. KPHB inspector Kushalkar said that in the first incident, the accused N. Srinivas 27, who was working for a software firm in Gachibowli lured his 38-year-old boss into a relationship promising marriage and had physical relations for around two years.
Police said that he had physically assaulted her and also threatened to publicise their relationship. Unable to bear the harassment the woman approached SHE teams. In the second incident, one Ramesh Rajpurohith, a cloth merchant hailing from Rajasthan, came to AP and settled in Tanuku where he had a cloth store. He and a woman who is now 24 became friendly and had sex after he promised to marry her. But after a few months, he started avoiding her. After she got a job in a software firm she came to Hyderabad and started working. The suspect who came to know started blackmailing her. “He forced her to continue their relationship,” the inspector said. He said that he also forced the woman to abort her pregnancy. Ramesh was booked for rape, criminal intimidation and forcing a woman to abort. On Thursday police arrested the two suspects and remanded them to custody.
