Anantapur: The First ADJ court here on Monday sentenced a person to three years’ imprisonment in a case of ganja smuggling in Rayadurgam area of this district.
Sources said the Gummagatta police of Rayadurgam circle nabbed Md Subhan with 2.5kg of ganja in his two-wheeler in 2020. A case was registered under the NDPS Act.
The First ADJ judge, Ramesh, pronounced the verdict after the prosecution proved the charges. Subhan was also ordered to pay a fine of ₹10000.
