Bengaluru: Designer held for sending lewd messages to model
Bengaluru: The Cyber Crime police have arrested a 52-year-old graphic designer for sending lewd and abusive messages to a model and forcing her to get into a physical relationship.
The accused has been identified as T.F. Hadimani, a resident of Vijayanagar in Mysuru. The victim, a city-based model, had filed a complaint with the police. The cyber crime team traced and detained him from a lodge in Belagavi.
The police said he was arrested after they found evidence against him. They have seized two mobile phones from which the messages were allegedly sent.
According to the police, the accused had befriended the victim last year through Facebook and this year from January 24, he had changed his approach towards her and started forcing her to get into a physical relationship with him.
In her complaint, she has stated that after she refused and told him to behave, he started sending abusive messages. When he got to know that she was planning to approach the police, he threatened to upload her morphed photographs in pornographic websites.
Investigations revealed that the accused was previously booked in two similar cases in city during 2015. In both these cases, he had befriended the victims through Facebook and forced them to get into a physical relationship. After they refused, he had sent them lewd and abusive messages.
The complaints were filed in Ashok Nagar and Cubbon Park police stations. The police said that the chargesheet in both cases have been filed in court and the trial in the case registered at Cubbon Park police station has already begun.
