Telangana: Youth gets burns in rescue bid
Hyderabad: A youth named Srinivas, 19, from Kalanagar near the toll plaza, risked his life to save the victims, but could not succeed. Srinivas suffered minor burns in the attempt. Meanwhile, Bhaskar who was dropped by the victims at the airport is also in shock. Srinivas sells Allamarabba (an eatable containing ginger and jaggery) near the Pedda Amberpet toll plaza. On Monday he came to the toll plaza at around 3.30 am. He looked towards the Outer Ring Road and suddenly saw a spark over the underpass.
Srinivas and a friend rushed to the spot on his bike and found that a car was on fire. He found one person on the back seat shouting for help. He tried to open the door but it was jammed. Later, he alerted the toll plaza staff who called the fire service. "I wanted to save that person who was shouting but failed," said Srinivas. Bhaskar is depressed as his friends died after seeing him off. He came to know of the incident after he landed in Coimbatore and flew back to Hyderabad.
