Railway employee held for attempting to steal an ATM booth in Hyderabad

On Thursday at around 10.30 pm, he came to the ATM booth to withdraw money. But when he could not withdraw money he came out of the booth.

Hyderabad: A 27-year-old railway employee who allegedly made an attempt to steal at an ATM booth in Dayanandnagar on Friday was arrested by the police.
V. Bhonsle Sachin Kumar entered the booth to withdraw cash but when he could not he broke the machine but failed to access the cash chest.

Police said Sachin is working as a point setter at the railway cabin in Sirnapally railway station in Nizamabad. Since six months he was absent at work and was suspended.

On Thursday at around 10.30 pm, he came to the ATM booth to withdraw money. But when he could not withdraw money he came out of the booth.

“Later, he came back to the booth and tried to break open the machine. He could break the outer chest but could not access the currency chest,” Malkajgiri sub-inspector M.D. Hafeezuddin said.

Police registered a case and based on CCTV footage and other clues, arrested him. He was produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.
