The duo frequently fought over domestic issues and sometime it would turn violent with Ramesh allegedly beating Kalpana. At around 4 am on Friday, a fight broke out between the couple and according to their neighbours, it went on till 5 am.
The neighbours told police that since it was a daily affair, they felt it was not necessary to intervene. The police said that in the heat of argument Ramesh strangulated Kalpana to death and fled.
The incident came to light when Kalpana's mother visited her house and found her daughter dead. She then filed a complaint with the Nandini Layout police, who have launched a manhunt to nab Ramesh.
