Andhra Pradesh: Two persons die in car crash

Two persons were killed and another person was hospitalised in a road accident after a car hit a man and overturned.

Kurnool: In a car chase that was ostensibly to stop an eloping couple, two persons including an inmate in the car died while the car driver sustained serious injuries.

According to police, two persons died and another one is critically hospitalised in a road accident after a car hit a man and overturned.

The incident took place at Nallagatla village in Allgadda mandal on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as M. Obulapathi (22), native of Nallagatla village, and K. Naga Lakshmi (20), a native of Muthaluru village in Rudravaram mandal.

According to police, Naga lakshmi and her relative Viswanath Reddy, a native of Muthuluru, went to Nandyal by car.

On the way their car hit a man M. Obulapathi at Nallagatla village while he was crossing the road and the car overturned as it hit the divider and landed on the other side of the road.

Obulapathi and Naga Lakshmi died on the spot in this incident, the police said. Viswanath Reddy was injured and shifted to Nandyal government hospital by locals. A case was registered and an inquiry is on, Allagadda SI G. Ramaiah said.
