Hyderabad: The crime detection rate is also low in the districts because of lack of facilities such as forensic labs.
Speaking to this newspaper, V.C. Sajjanar, police commissioner of Cyberabad, which covers a majority of outskirts, said officials would be keeping a watch on the hotspots and also encourage locals to inform the police if they see something suspicious around them.
“A sense of security will be instilled in the people and a close vigil on all important colonies will be kept. We will also be maintaining a tab on previous offenders. Introduction of patrolling and blue colts will help the public,” he said.
CCTV cameras will be installed along the highways in order to prevent crimes in the districts. “We are also getting three more forensic science labs in the districts,” said an official .
