Hyderabad: A man killed his 30-year-old wife and their two children, aged 10 and 5, in their house in Vikarabad on Monday and went to the police and owned up to the murders. Police took the accused, Praveen Kumar, 32 into custody and is interrogating him.
According to Vikarabad police, Kumar, 32, a resident of Sivaramanagar Colony on the outskirts of Vikarabad, claimed to have killed his wife Chan-dini, 28, and his children Ayaan, 9, and Angel, 5.
A team rushed to the house and found the bodies. Police said Praveen suspected his wife’s fidelity. On Sunday night, he went home drunk and picked up an argument with her. After a heated argument, he took an iron rod and hit her on the head. He then killed his children by hitting them with the same rod, a police official said.
Praveen works as a supervisor in a vial manufacturing company in Vikarabad while Chandini worked in a playschool.
