Rajahmundry: A man hacked his son-in-law to death unable to bear the harassment being meted out to his daughter by him at Kotananduru village in East Godavari on Friday. According to Kotananduru police, Singampalli Bullabbai married off his daughter to Adigarla Satyanarayana, 50, thirty years ago. The couple have a son and daughter and they too got married.
Satyanarayana used to work as a tailor in the village and was addicted to liquor. His wife and his mother-in-law work as labourers for daily wages to support the family. Satyanarayana was troubling the family members for money. On Friday, Satyanarayana entered into a heated argument with his father-in-law and he reportedly beat him. Subsequently, when Satyanarayana was asleep, Bullabbai attacked him with a knife leading to his death. Police booked a case under Section 302 against the accused Bullabbai and investigation is on.
