Woman steals ornaments of two-year-old
Hyderabad: An unidentified woman created panic among residents of Suraram Colony in Dundigal on Wednesday, as she took away a two-year-old girl who was walking along with another girl from a private school near her home, and stole the girl child’s ornaments.
The parents traced the girl after 20 minutes to a neighbouring area. They lodged a complaint with the police.
Recent incidents of child kidnappings at Sultan Bazaar and Punjagutta, forced the Dundigal police of Cyberabad to launch a search for the suspect immediately, but their efforts went in vain.
Jahnavi, daughter of Yadagiri, living in Om Janda Colony used to go to a nearby school along with her neighbour Sanvitha. On Wednesday evening, when the two girls were walking home, an unidentified woman took Jahnavi away and stole her gold ear tops and silver anklets. Sanvitha, on reaching home, told Yadagiri who immediately went searching for the girl, along with some local. They found the girl at an isolated area in the neighbouring colony. Yadagiri later alerted the police about the woman.
