Kevin murder case: Rehana seeks anticipatory bail
Kochi: Rehana, mother of Neenu, one of the accused in the Kevin murder case has approached the high court on Tuesday seeking anticipatory bail. The application for anticipatory bail stated that her husband and son have been arrested in connection with case and she is apprehensive about being arrested as per the news appearing in the media.
Stating that her arrest is unnecessary in the case the application said that he should be granted bail in case of being arrested. Claiming that she came to know about the death of Kevin from media reports Rehana said she had no prior knowledge of the killing of Kevin.
The application said that she had gone to the residence of him after coming to know that Kevin and Neenu got married. Apart from verbal altercation in the house he has no other knowledge about the incident. Kevin was abducted from the house of a relative by a gang led by Shanu, son of Rehana, in the wake of his marriage with Neenu. Kevin was allegedly tortured and killed by the gang.
