Hyderabad: Relatives of a newly married couple approached the East Zone police complaining that an SI obstructed their wedding party. The SI of Amberpet police station allegedly stopped a marriage party and demanded a bribe to allow them to play music. When they refused he tried to stop the party and misbehaved with the groom.
However, Amberpet police denied the allegations stating that the SI was merely doing his duty and had not asked for a bribe. Police said they received a complaint through Dial 100 on Sunday from a student of the locality who complained that he was not able to study. Another person called and said that his father had a heart surgery recently and was not able to take the noise," said ACP Sudhakar of Malakpet.
“Most of the men in the marriage party were drunk and they misbehaved with the SI,” the ACP added. Police said that they have not registered any case.
