35-year-old woman from Hyderabad given fake visa
Hyderabad: A 35-year-old woman turned up at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to board a flight to Dubai only to realise that her visa was fake. Immigration officials stopped her and handed over to local police.
Renuka Singh, a resident of Narayanguda in the city, later a filed a complaint in the police station against visa agents, who cheated her by giving fake papers after taking money from her. She alleged that a couple from the Old City had given her a fake employment visa to go to Dubai.
“She stated in her complaint stated that a person named Nisar and Sajida promised to help her get a job as a domestic help in Dubai. She paid them thousands of rupees for the visa and airfare. She learnt that the visa was fake, when immigration officials stopped her,” said a cop from RGI airport police station.
After giving her the documents, Nisar had told her he got the visa by violating rules. If she was questioned, she should not reveal his name, Nisar had said.
