Hyderabad: Woman kills husband with paramour's help

After the murder, she herself lodged a missing plaint.

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police solved a mysterious case of a missing 27-year-old man, who it turned out was murdered by his wife, who had herself filed the ‘missing person’ complaint. She, along with her paramour and a relative who was a minor, had killed him. They were all arrested.

Police said that Kavitha along with her paramour Suman and a relative who was a minor, killed her husband Raju and dumped his body along with his bike along the road, at Saroornagar.

According to the police, Kavitha got married to Raju around six years ago and moved to the city recently to earn a livelihood. Kavitha stayed at home, while Raju worked at a tiffin center at Madannapet vegetable market in the mornings and ran an eatery at Santosh Nagar in the evenings. The couple and their two kids were residing in Karmanghat.

Kavitha began having an affair a few years ago with one Suman, who was her distant relative. Raju who got to know of the affair, warned Kavitha to stop the illegal relationship with Suman. She however continued her affair with Suman and as a result Raju would often come home drunk and beat her severely in connection with her relationship. Kavitha who was very depressed with Raju planned to kill him with Suman’s help.

Last Saturday, when Raju came home heavily drunk, Suman along with his relative, who was a minor, came to Raju’s house. They all bound Raju’s hands and legs with nylon ropes and throttled him to death with their hands.

“Later Suman and the boy carried Raju’s body on his bike and dumped it along with his bike at a forest area in Gurramguda village. Then Kavitha lodged a complaint with the Saroornagar police stating that Raju was missing,” said DCP LB Nagar, M. Venkateswar Rao.

The cops found Raju’s body a day later and observed that Kavitha had begun behaving suspiciously. On investigation, she admitted to killing her husband with the help of her paramour. They were arrested and sent to remand on Thursday.
