CRPF jawans injured in landmine blast by Maoists in Visakhapatnam

Cops are chalking out plans to deploy more forces to intensify combing operations in the area.

Visakhapatnam: Two CRPF jawans were injured in a landmine blast triggered by Maoists on Wednesday in Dhulipudi area near Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border.

The incident took place when the security personnel were carrying out combing operations in the area.

“Jawans in the blast have been evacuated,” said KS Kumar, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Paderu.

Sources said that condition of injured jawans is stable and the cops are chalking out plans to deploy more forces to intensify combing operations in the area.
